Peg City 3x3 brings the vibrant energy of urban basketball to the heart of Winnipeg. We host high-octane, community-first 3x3 tournaments and pop-up events that celebrate culture, connection, and competition.

From youth divisions to adult brackets, our events are built to be inclusive, dynamic, and packed with the unmistakable spirit of the blacktop.

What We Do

  A vibrant downtown experience where food, music, and hoops came together under the city lights.

• Summer Slam at The Forks (Annual Event)
  Our signature Canada Day weekend event featuring non-stop 3x3 action, live entertainment, and a powerful celebration of local talent and community spirit.

• CW3x3 - Championship Weekend Street Festival (Special Edition Event)
  As part of the CEBL Championship Festival, the one-time event will transform the city core into a basketball block party, featuring 3x3 competition, live music, food trucks, and local vendors —amplifying the championship atmosphere with an unforgettable weekend of action and entertainment.

🏀 3x3 Community Tournament (Team Registration Fee: $250)

• Senior Rec Division 19+
  • 🥇Gold: $1000 prize
  • 🥈 Silver: $400 prize
  • 🥉 Bronze: $250 prize
• Wheelchair division
  • Inclusive competition focused on fun, connection, and accessibility for all skill levels
  • 🏅Gold, Silver, and Bronze teams will receive medals
• Youth divisions Ages 11-18
  • Divisions organized by age. A great oppourtunity for young athletes to experience fast-paced 3x3 basketball in a fun and supportive environment.

• The Matt Loewen Legacy Shoot-Out Contest

  • Learn, cheer, and take part in inclusive sport-chair activities!

🕊 The Matt Loewen Legacy Shoot-Out is dedicated to Matt, who loved basketball and valued teamwork above all. Matt led quietly by example, showing kindness in how he supported others and determination in everything he did. His grit and perseverance inspired those around him to keep pushing forward. A sharp shooter and hard worker, he believed that basketball was a way to bring people together, making the game about more than just points.

This contest honors his dedication, work ethic, and the positive impact he had on the community. Matt was deeply loved and is greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His spirit lives on in every shot and every laugh shared on the court.

Opening Ceremonies

U23 Manitoba Qualifier for Canada Hoops Tournament

• Winning Men's and Women's teams will receive flights and accommodations to Toronto
• Compete for $8,000 at the U23 Canada Hoops Tournament

3X3 Community Tournament

• Open division 19+ with cash prize (TBA)
• Wheelchair division 
• Youth divisions 18 and under
  • Division winners will receive FREE entry into the CW25 3x3 Tournament at the CEBL Championship Festival in August!
• Masters Division 35+

1v1 Continuous Tournament

• 18+ Men's division
• 16-18 Boys division
• 13-15 Boys division
• 11-12 Boys division
